AKA Vermont Black Hawk. Brown, stripe, one hind ankle white. Foaled 1847, Wells River, VT. Bred by S.D. Blood, Wells River, VT. Kept at Danville [VT] one or more seasons; taken to Kalamazoo [MI] 1853 by Mr. Blood; then to Kentucky in 1855. Won First Prize at the KY State Fair in 1856 for Best Harness Horse. Sold to H.T. Duncan, Fayette County [KY], whose property he died. One of the best of the get of the celebrated Black Hawk 20.
