Bred at Pelkinie, the stud of Prince Witold Czartoryski, in Poland. Imported from Poland to United States of America in 1934 by J.M. Dickinson, Franklin, Tennessee. *Czubuthan raced two seasons as a three-year-old and four-year-old. Out of seventeen starts he won six, was second eight times, third three times, never unplaced; and in two of his second places he was in effect Arab winner for those races were won by Anglo-Arabs. The second greatest Arab winner in Poland, he won the Minister of Agriculture Stake at 3,200 meters, substantially two miles, defeating the record holder at Polish Arab Derby distance. *Czubuthan was not a sprinter. Although he won at a mile in his second race, his principal races were at a mile and a half and over. A horse of good Arab type and size, he was of well balanced conformation and characterized by strong clean bone and good muscular development. 15 hands tall, weighed 1,025lbs.
