Details

One of the foundation mares of Crabbet Stud coupled with a worldwide influence on the Arabian Horse breed through her daughter Nefisa. Sometimes referred to as "JASMINE" and "LADY HESTER". Dajania's early life was filled with much intrigue as her dam was stolen from the Sebaa Aeniza tribe and she herself was also stolen from Mohammed Pasha and taken to Seyd Ahmed, a branch of the Hannadi tribe settled near Aleppo. She was one of the first mares purchased by Wilfred Blunt for £35 in Aleppo on Christmas Day, 1877 and was exported to Crabbet in 1878. At the third Crabbet Sale in 1886, she was purchased by the Turkish Ambassador HE Rustem Pasha for 120 guineas.
