Color: br Height: 16.0 #900000S AKA Denmark F.S. Dark brown, 16h. Foaled 1839, Danville, Kentucky. Bred by Samuel Davenport. The chief foundation sire of the Saddle Horse breed. Described as a horse of great beauty, his race career was not a great one, but he was known for stamina, gameness and consistency. He raced in 4-mile heat races. Did not sire any Thoroughbreds of great note, but became the foundation sire of the American Saddlebred.
