Overview

Came to us from California as a supposed dangerous Horse. Sent to a trainer prior to APN Taking him. Sadly the trainer told us I am a risk and we were incompatible...

Details

Needless to say the Trainer was eating his words. We have a atmosphere here at APN that is not like his place we do not set a time limit to work with a horse. We do not push a horse into the fight or flight behavior as he did bite the extern of the trainer facility.. So reason why I don't trust many trainers and will only stand behind a select few. If anyone wants proof the trainer actually gave his risk assessment on the horse. Empiezo has not been aggressive nor mean. Just a big love. We did find his feet were sore which caused his ears to be pinned. We kept him in places where wasn't too much rocks until his hooves were allowed to grow and give him a better cushion from the ground. He was a big time show horse in his Hay day. Now he is soaking up the retired life. He has a big following by his old show barn I have to say for a Gaited horse show barn they cared enough about him when they heard of his problem they feared he was to be put to sleep which was to happen (opinion of other trainer) They took a great time with him unlike some Show Pasos they put alot of training into him not just rail but he also went on trails and parades and taught classical riding no fear with him at all. When we checked his fear factor with whips and other training aids he had no problem with them. The disconnect happened when he went to another normal home unsure of why. But some say misunderstanding or his feet were kept short which cause he was in pain caused him to attack his owner but we are unsure.
