She was 50 percent Babson, 1/4 through her sire's dam (Maarqada) and the other 1/4 through her dam's sire (Faarad). You can learn quite a lot about the BAbson's from the new Babson book. Faarad was the Babson acquired by Richard Pritzlaff to blend with his other 1958 imports. Maarqada was used by Forbis' to found a dynasty, as documented in Authentic Arabian Bloodstock II by Judi. AHA Data Source shows that RG Charisma had 6 foals, 5 of them fillies, 1 colt who had no get registered on AHA. The 5 daughters were sired thusly: 1 by Kamal Ibn Morafic (*Morafic X *Nabillahh by Antar), 3 by (also the colt) Ansata El Hakim (*Ansata Ibn Halima X *Ansata Bint Elwya by Antar), and the last daughter by Arabian Park Faraz (*Farazdac X *Sabeh El Kheir by *Tuhotmos). All of these daughters are shown as having produce in Australia, all born in the late 70's and early 80's so a prolific group of mares like this would probably be found in many early foundation SE breeding programs down under. They should have been very athletic and beautiful with this blood and with Antar in so many of them, they should have excellent bodies and construction. The RG horses were beautiful and athletic, drawing from the fine Pritzlaff horses (the early imports were related very closely in blood to Antar, so a natural cross with him) and smoothed with the good temprements and lovely heads of the Ansata and Babson horses. Her sire, Ansata El Salim, is also the sire of Sankt Georg (from Bint El Bataa). He is probably most well known here for siring Simeon Safanad (from 27 Ibn Galal V). Her breeders are Mr and Mrs Norton Graw of Rafter G Arabians in Prosser, Washington. The Grows are perhaps underappreciated here in the US, but they were wonderful breeders for 40 years working almost, but not completely, in SEs. They bought Faaraa from Richard Pritzlaff and Ansata El Salim from Ansata. They bred almost 150 horses.
