Raseyn was bred by Lady Judith Wentworth at her famous Crabbet Park Stud in England and foaled in 1923. Animal History Matters and can be recorded for posterity to learn from and enjoy on Pedegru.

Sired by Skowronek, one of the most influential sires in Arabian horse breeding history, and out of Rayya. Raseyn was out of outstanding bloodlines. Mr. W.K. Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan, but what was to become the renowned Kellogg ranch in Pomona California and went about stocking their ranch with some of the finest Arabian horses available. To this and Mr. Carl Schmidt Raswan was engaged to make the trip to Crabbet Park and select horses to help form the nucleus of the Ranch's is breeding stock. At this time Raseyn was a three year old and a beautiful black-gray in color. And fortunately for American breeders he was one of the horse chosen for Mr. Kellogg. Raseyn was trained as a five gated horse and was used extensively as a saddle horse on the ranch in movies and in horse shows. Raseyn went through the various ownerships of the ranch and while in possession of Renmount Service he was found to be sterile and was slated to be destroyed. The late Alice Payne pleaded four Raseyn and finally with the intervention of a congressman Mrs. Payne acquired Raseyn and took him home to live at their ranch where he lived the pampered life he deserved until his death May 19, 1952.
