Finding a Pet the Right New Home!

Curtis has been a family friend for many years now, was on the police force until a recent injury, is now selling pet insurance, should you happen to need some, and will soon be working with one of the largest Arabian trainers in the nation. He's always been around, and ridden, horses. He's a terrific - committed - personality as you can tell.

Not long ago we purchased a colt who quickly became a 'Stallion', holistically, and though we determined he wasn't going to be the right one to help advance our breeding program, #Luxemere Arabians, he's a wonderful soul with a pet-like personality. Like any #animal, he deserved a wonderful home. So we started to think about where that might be and who might care for, and take a dedicated interest, in him. We thought of Curtis.

Since the exchange #CurtisMahler and #Ymaj have become the best of friends on a level you often just read about but seldom have the privilege of experiencing first hand. They spend hours together riding, grooming, and literally just hanging out. It's impressive. I've asked Curtis to enhance his profile on #Pedegru because it's the the kind of relationship Pedegru is about recording. Whether it's a program pet or a rescue it's the relationships between us and our pets, and the sharing of them, that will encourage others to invite a pet into their homes as well.

Did you know if every household reached out to invite a pet into its home the United States would be short on pets by about 120 million next year! Imagine a world that didn't need rescue facilities or shelters - what an accomplishment would that be?!

There is so much that a #pet brings to a human life it's hard to cover all the ways. In part it depends on the mindset and circumstances of the pet and person. But it's clear by far that people who invite pets into their lives live longer, #healthier, and #happier, better adjusted lives.

There's something about caring for, and giving to, that makes us better people, makes life fuller and more meaningful, and shifts the world just a bit by virtue of sharing our stores. This is what Pedegru is about...telling whatever kind of story you have with the world driving its inhabitants to invite pets into their lives, treating the ones they have with greater respect, and helping others understand the elevated way having a pet in their lives adds something significant not just to theirs but to the world.
