Who knew Reese Witherspoon was such an animal lover?

The How Do You Know star is currently building a barn for all her farmyard pals, who happen to have very interesting names thanks to her 11-year-old daughter, Ava!

Reese tells Hollybaby: ‘My kids are the greatest gift’

“I really do have animal friends!” Reese, 34, told Chelsea Handler on her show, Chelsea Lately. “I have donkeys, I have goats, I have two [pigs] Booker T. Washington and Lavender Valentine. Ava was studying American history, so she named them.” And if you think that’s funny, it gets better! “I have George and Martha Washington, our goats.” Sounds like Ava was really interested in historical figures… with the last name Washington!

Sadly, Reese didn’t get to name the Witherspoon donkeys either — Ava and her son Deacon, 7, got that job, too! “My donkeys are named Honky and Tonky,” Reese says. “I wanted to call them Honky Tonky and Badonkadonk, but the kids weren’t so into it. They didn’t know what badonkadonk was, so apparently I am doing some good parenting!”
