The Purple-bellied Lory (Lorius hypoinochrous) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is endemic to Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
