Arabian
Camel
The Arabian camel is another bred for racing and riding. With a single hump and long, slender legs, they are able to cover as much as one hundred miles in a day. The breed was developed in Turkmenistan in the Kara-Kum desert and has supplied milk, meat, wool and transortation for over a thousand years. This is a largely smooth riding animal but are not well adapted to severe winters. In zones of high humidity they are unfortunately susceptible to disease. Many thanks to OK State.

The Camel I rode took my eldest sons glasses and spit in his face!
