Fancy Mice ("fancy", in this context sometimes meaning "hobby") are domesticated breeds of the “common” or “house” mouse that have been selectively bred for exhibition. The terms “fancy” and "feeder” mice are often used interchangeably by retailers but are in fact the same variety of mouse. The name Fancy Mouse also sometimes refers to the phrase "to fancy" (to like, or appreciate). Specially bred as pets Fancy Mice now come in a wide variety of colors and coat types. Just a few examples are: Frizzie, Hairless, Long Hair, Satin, Standard, and so forth.
