I live in Southern California and am a hobbyist of many years. My Dad and I have grown many prize-winning orchids and love many such horticultural endeavors.

Another passion of mine has alwaysa been for animals and especially Arabian horses. My deceased husband and I bred a number of winning Arabians you can see here on Pedegru so I have a special place in my heart for animals and the many ways they provide lasting joy throughout our lives. My son started Pedegru for this and many other reasons but mostly because this love and admiration of animals has passed to him. He asked me to write a Newsletter for Pedegru because I've been writing one for the Orchid Club here in CA for many years. I look forward to your readership and participation and encourage you to begin one, perhaps a blog-style version, of your own.
