Alur
Cattle
The Alur (aka Nioka, Blukwa) is a Sanga-Zebu intermediate that belongs to the Ankole-Zebu cattle group.
The Alur originates from the crossing of Ankole cattle (mostly the Bahima) - with the Lugware and the Nkedi (both Small East African Zebu breeds). The 'also known as' (i.e. aka) name 'Blukwa' originates from the name of a tribal chief. ref: krankykids.com
