The English King is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the English Toy Spaniel. You can determine the temperament of mixed breeds by looking at both breeds. You could get any combination of characteristics. Not all designer dogs are 50% purebred to 50% purebred because it is very common that multi-generation crosses will be used.
