The Boa constrictor is a large, heavy-bodied species of snake. It is a member of the family Boidae found in North, Central, and South America, as well as some islands in the Caribbean.
Clever genetic manipulation is responsible for a wide variety of colors and patterns in modern snake breeding. In zoology these differences are known as morphs and are genetic mutations causing departures from the normal or "wild" type and appearance. One generally doesn't find large physical differences in morphs but color and pattern variations can be quite vast and amazing
